What data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. Short, because we collect very little.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is WSW Software LLC. Contact details are in the Imprint; privacy enquiries can be sent to info@wswsoftware.tech.
Server logs. When you visit, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, date and time and the pages requested. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure, and is deleted after a short retention period.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you the newsletter. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from the list.
Contact form and email. If you use the contact form or write to us, we store your name, email address and message for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
Cookies. See the Cookie Notice. Optional cookies are only set with your consent.
We do not collect payment details on this website. Card payments are processed by our payment provider on its own secure checkout page; we receive only confirmation of payment, not your card number. When you order a product or service, we store the information needed to deliver it, invoice it and provide support — typically your name, company, email address, billing address and the product purchased. Bank transfers are handled by your bank and ours.
We process data to perform a contract with you (product delivery and support), on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, with your consent (newsletter, optional cookies) and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations such as record-keeping.
We use service providers for hosting, email delivery and product delivery. These providers process data only on our instructions and under contract. We are a United States company, and our main providers are located in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your data is therefore transferred to the US; such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and afterwards only where a legal retention obligation applies.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@wswsoftware.tech. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
US residents. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (for example California), you may additionally request to know which categories of personal data we hold and to have it deleted. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published here with the date of the last update.
